Kakani hiking

Kakani Hiking is short but very magnificent hike from Kakani to Suryachaur . Kakani Hiking is very easy but incredibly rewarding in-terms of scenery and peace. Kakani is located in the hill lock of Northwest of Kathmandu. it has Altitude of 2073 m from the sea level. It is a famous place for sunrise and sunset. Hikers can see a splendid panoramic view of Langtang Himalayan range from here. Kakani is also famous for picnic spot for the Nepalese.It is around 25 km far from the Kathmandu. Hikers need to take the private car or vehicles to reach there. from the Hilltop of Kakani you can see Ganesh himal Langtang himal, and many other mountains. Not only this there is a peaceful park which attracts visitors.

How to go Kakani Hiking

Kakani Hiking starts from Kakani top near scout office. for Kakani Hiking you need to go Kakani by jeep or car to kakani because there is no local bus. It is good if it is early morning we can see Mountain View from there because in the evening time when there is a cloud that blocks the mountain view. It is best idea to departure at 6:30 am from Kathmandu and then take a private vehicle to go to Kakani which takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to reach at Kaule.

Kaule is a place where we stop vehicle then get down from it to see the local culture, local people their lifestyle their occupations. Most of the people from this area do agriculture work. Their main crops is radish. because it’s cold place Suitable for for radius and put as well as well. they also grow strawberry here. but but it is only in seasons.From here you will take 2 hours to reach the height of Kakani top.it is very beautiful trail. Where you can see pine tree and Juniper tree as well as many others mountain regions tree, and some other bushes of plant. While we do trek, we can see flatland below us which is very beautiful. If you have going there in October season then you might see rice field on that. in our the Seasons you will see some plant plantations over there. From Kakani you can see langtang himal, height of 7234 m, Ganesh himal 7422 metres, gaurishankar himal, and many other snow capped mountains. and below below that beautiful landscape of nuwakot.
