Annapurna trek is done in the Annapurna Conservation Area(ACCAP). The Annapurna Conservation Area is Nepal’s biggest conservation area. It has an area of 7,629 km2 (2,946 sq mi). Annapurna range is in Manang, Mustang, Kaski, Myagdi, and Lamjung districts. The area ranges in elevation from 790 m (2,590 ft) to the peak of Annapurna I at 8,091 m (26,545 ft). It is a group of Mountain in the Middle of NEPAL Himalayas. Many famous trekking routes are available for the trekkers. Firstly Annapurna Circuit , secondly Annapurna Base Camp, thirdly Ghorepani Poon Hill fourthly Jomsom Muktinath. Upper Mustang trekking is control region trek which is also part of Annapurna. Beside above trail there are other fantastic trails which offer trekkers verities of taste.

Why Annapurna trek

There are several features that make the Annapurna trek a unique. It has a world’s deepest river gorge. Kali Gandaki Gorge, which is 3 miles long and 1.5 miles wide.  The valley with fossils from the Tethys Sea dating 60 million years ago. Annapurna region also has world’s largest rhododendron forest in Ghorepani. Tilicho lake (4900m), located in Manang – north of Annapurna massif, is the world’s highest altitude freshwater lake. This region has a highest Mountain Annapurna 8091 Meter, Annapurna II 7,937 Meter and many other. Trek in Annapurna start from 600 Meter above sea level and Throng la located at an altitude on 5416 m of Annapurna is recognized the world’s widest pass and one of the top first trek destination in the world.

Annapurna trek entry fee

For SAARC Nationals: Nepali Rupees 200
Other Nationals: Nepali Rupees 2,000.
Note: Above entry fee rates exclude 13% VAT compliance (Value Added Tax)

Note:

Entrance fee not required for children under 10 years of age.
Trekkers are required to obtain individual Entry Permits for visiting ACA, GCA, and MCA.
Two passport size photographs are required while applying for each Entry Permit.

Terms and Conditions:
This Entry Permit is valid for single entry only and is non-refundable, non-transferable. The permit holder can enter the designated places within the Conservation Area.
A person entering the Conservation Area shall abide by the National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act, 2029 B.S. (1973) and the Regulations made under this Act.
This Entry Permit must be carried during the entire trip and should be shown if concerned personnel of the Conservation Area wants to check it.

Annapurna trek season

1 Mid-September, October, and November are Autumn Season: This is the best time to do trekking because in this time the field is full with crops, the forest is very green and there is no chance of rain.
2 March, May During this time the forest becomes very colorful because of rhododendron and magnolia flowers as well as very less chance of rain.
3 December, January, and February the sky is clear but the weather is cold and there is a risk of hailstorm and snowfall. This is still the best time to do this trek.
4 May, June this is Monsoon season and the least popular time to do trekking in Nepal. The risk of leeches, landslides, floods and so on.
